Alot of hard work goes into fabricating beautiful Natural Stone Countertops and all that work happens right here on site at The Stone Cobblers in our Shop Of Whimsical Creations. Behind these doors is the workforce that creates our visions. We will take a moment to introduce you to the men who are the workforce TEAM and give you an idea of the steps it takes to get from raw Stone to the Creations we so proudly install.

The picture above shows the first real handling step of the fabrication process. If this stage is not precisely performed it will have a negative impact on the entire job. Here Itamar has laid out a template on the Stone chosen by the customer and is lining up the laser guide to prepare for a pass of cutting. This template is his guide to making a precise cut, not only is the template the guide but it retains a wealth of details specific to this Custom Kitchen Countertop.

In the picture below you see Israel bringing a Countertop to life by polishing the top surface.
Israel gets the desired results by using a sequence of different diamond pads like done with sandpaper for wood. Water is an essential ingredient to this process lubricating the pad as he goes. It takes extreme patience and a true professional to resurface these tops.

Edging is an important detail to the finished job. Here you see Pingo working on our aptly named edge called the Cobbled Edge. Using a pneumatic chisel Pingo gauges his cut depth to create the desired effect. Once the chiseling is finished we then brush the edge with diamond brushes creating a Natural looking edge as if it just came from the quarry. People really love the Cobbled edge especially for focal areas like the Island or raised bartops.
